Welcome to umbc
Established in 1926, the University of Melbourne Baseball Club is a club for the students, alumni and friends of the University of Melbourne.
Our seniors’ and women’s teams compete in the Melbourne Winter Baseball League, and our season runs from April to September each year.
We’re proud to have eight seniors’ and one women’s team, ranging from A Grade to D Reserve. Everyone is welcome. Our club members includes students, but you don’t have to be a student to play! New players of all standards are always welcome.
Our club prides itself on providing an inclusive, welcoming environment for players of all abilities, genders and backgrounds. UMBC has a strong on-field and off-field presence with a healthy social life and is regularly successful in both local and national intervarsity competitions.

UMBC has an inclusive women’s program, catering to new and experienced players.

UMBC has a proud history of success and community culture at the annual UniNationals tournaments.

Gameday
Our home ground is Ross Straw Field in Royal Park. This is where our home games are played on weekends.
Training
We train on campus at University Oval on Wednesdays 5-8pm.
Club social dinner runs at the nearby Clyde Hotel after training from 8pm.
